Motoplus.ca in numbers
Publié le 1 décembre 2024
If you haven’t already heard of, or visited motoplus.ca lately, I’d like to take a couple minutes of your time to introduce you to Quebec (and Canada’s) first true online motorcycle magazine. Launched in March 2008, motoplus.ca completely fills a substantial gap in the market by offering authoritative, high quality content delivered with the immediacy of the internet.
Covering all aspects of motorcycling activity, from local and international perspectives, you’ll find motoplus.ca is broadly diversified, truly informative and free of charge for readers. In just a few months our efforts to produce a genuine online motorcycle magazine has been rewarded with rapid and sustained growth in readership. And that’s an important distinction that needs to be made.
motoplus.ca is much more than just another internet way station for casual visitors; it’s a vibrant community of avid, attentive and loyal readers.
What’s in it for you? Integrity! A trusted and authoritative information source is of massive value to you. Why? Trust is earned and a trusting relationship is what your best customer prospects want. When informed editorial has integrity your advertising message has real impact. The message in any magazine is the advertising but it’s only useful if the reader is truly engaged. As many print magazines (particularly in Canada) find themselves fading into irrelevance with falling readership numbers you need to be on top of precisely where your potential customers are getting their information. I’m sure you’re well aware that they are now most likely to turn to the internet. In Quebec they now turn to motoplus.ca.
Like any business motoplus.ca requires revenue to survive and thrive. The fact that we are web- based means we don’t carry the traditional expenses of printing and distribution. With motoplus.ca you will reach many more qualified prospects, at considerably less cost and in a much more immediate and interactive way.
I invite you to review the supporting information below and check our very reasonable advertising rates. I hope that we can count on your collaboration and loyalty to develop a mutually beneficial partnership. Time moves even faster than motorcycles so don’t wait. People ride bikes to feel alive and nothing in Quebec is more live than motoplus.ca.
Can we look forward to your ongoing support?
Kind regards,
Didier Constant

Motorcycle News in Real Time
Unique, authoritative and immediate, motoplus.ca is the only true motorcycle online magazine in Quebec. Updated on a daily basis – often twice a day – motoplus.ca follows the fast-paced world of motorcycles and motorcycling as it happens, in real time! Today’s motorcyclists are not satisfied with 3 month old information. They want their news now, as it happens. Who wants to wait until May to read about new model press launches in magazines and make their informed buying decision based on dated reports? And that is where motoplus.ca distinguishes itself from other motorcycle media. Our goal is to assist readers in making informed decisions, earlier.
Launched in March 2008, motoplus.ca has rapidly become the information focal point for tens of thousands of enthusiastic motorcyclists, and those who want to be. During its first weeks of existence, the readership jumped to over 32,000 unique visitors a month (unique IP addresses), thanks to a vast and efficient referencing network. Together, they produce over 500,000 hits each month, and 112,000 page views, for an average of 3.5 page views per visit.
According to the data we’ve collected, our average reader is a male (85%) leaving in Canada (75%), with 21% leaving in other French-speaking countries (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Africa, Asia) and 4% in the rest of the world.
In recent times many traditional print magazines are losing ground to the Internet. And this tendency is increasing. Some motorcycle magazines have witnessed their readership fall from 25,000 readers in the ’80s to a mere 8,000 in 2008. There is very much an ongoing and steady decline in their base of readers. In 2010, Motomag, one of Quebec’s main printed magazine, ceased publication. And lately, its main competitor, Moto Journal/Cycle Canada became an electronic publication only.
In the case of motoplus.ca, its audience is significantly greater to the combined readership of Quebec’s main motorcycle magazines. And it keeps growing! We are offering a more complete and diversified portfolio of information to our visitors and something print magazines cannot provide: real-time interaction with readers. motoplus.ca gives access to texts, pictures, slideshows, videos, audio and external links that print cannot provide. And, as noted above, our contents are fresh and updated daily so readers have good reason for regular daily visits.
An efficient advertising tool
With thousands of readers, motoplus.ca is an efficient and powerful advertising tool. Any company working in the motorcycle industry can use it to reach a wide audience, easily and rapidly.
motoplus.ca is a unique tool to verify, in real time, the effectiveness of an advertising campain. There is no better tool to target a specific audience and monitor its reaction*.
